Professor Dr Imbarine Bujang, ADK

Associate Professor Dr Imbarine Bujang is a full-time academician attached to the faculty of Business and management, Univeriti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia since January 2010. Throughout his service at UiTM Sabah Campus, from August 2010 till October 2016, he has held several key positions such as Program Coordinator for Diploma in Banking, Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) finance and Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) Business Economics. For his contribution in the development of Diploma in Banking Studies curriculum, he was appointed as the Anchor Campus chairman for the Diploma in banking program and further supervised 9 campuses which offered this program throughout the system of UiTM Malaysia since 2013 until October 2016. In early November 2016, he was appointed as the Head of Postgraduate Studies Program where he monitored the PhD and Master by research program till today.

Associate Professor Dr Imbarine Bujang holds a Phd in Financial Economics from Edith Cowan University, Western Australia. His patience towards research works in the area of financial economics, econometrics, behavioral finance, financial management; Investment and Research methodology has given a significant impact in the body of literature. Being mindful on the needs of the country to produce a few PhD graduates, Associate Professor Dr Imbarine Bujang, has produced 5 PhD and 5 Master by research students within 3 years of his service (2014-2016). Another 5 PhD students are currently waiting for their Viva Voce. Moreover, it is a great pride that two of Associate Professor Dr Imbarine’s Phd Supervisees had managed to graduate on time (G.O.T). Additionally, one of them was recognized as the youngest PhD graduate in the university at the age of 25 years old.  Associate Professor Dr Imbarine Bujang presented at global conferences, in UK, Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia and won several best paper awards in the area of finance and economics.
