CBERDwight Geddes

Dwight Geddes founded Metro Claims & Risk Mgmt. and The Geddes Mgmt. Group based in Floral Park, New York. A 25-plus-year insurance industry veteran, Dwight has published and presented on fraud, risk management, automobile claims, catastrophe property trends and DE&I and taught industry professionals nationwide. In his time in insurance, he has handled claims from several major natural disasters including Hurricane Ike (Houston 2008,) Tropical Storm Irene (New York & New Jersey 2011,) Hurricane Sandy (New York & New Jersey 2012), Hurricane Irma (Florida 2017) Hurricane Michael (Florida 2018,) Hurricane Isaias (New York, NJ & CT 2020,) Winter Storm Uri (Houston/Corpus Christi, TX 2021,) Hurricane Ida (Louisiana & New York) and Hurricane Ian (Florida, 2022). In addition to his experience as a claims executive and insurance broker, Dwight is a certified mediator, insurance expert witness and a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) arbitrator.

Dwight is the Co-Dean of the CLM Claims College and sits on the national board of the National African American Insurance Association.
