Prof.Dr.Magdolna Csath

Prof.Dr.Magdolna Csath is the doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, research professor at the the Pázmány Péter Catholic University, and private professor at National University of Public Service (NUPS) in Budapest, Hungary.  She serves on the National Competitiveness Council of the Minister for Finance. She is a leading scholar on innovation, competitiveness, development and management. She is the mentor of many PhD students working on innovation ecosytems, competitiveness and development models. He has a wide range of publications, the latest on Sustanibility was published by the NUPS editor, and a new one on new competitveness models is in print by the Academic Publishers in Budapest. She is also the author of one chapter on management development in Central and Eastern Europe in a book on ”Management development and Learning” which is under review at Emerald in GB.

She spent 5 years in the USA as a professor of Strategic and International Management first at Virginia Tech, in Blacksburg Virginia, later at Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia. She also taught as a professor on Global Business and Cross-cultural management at The Stirling University in Scotland for two years. She has been a visiting professor for several years at the University of Economics  in Prague, Czech Republic. Her interest has been focused recently on the development trap problems of the less developed countries, and the ways how to close the gap with the more developed ones. Recently he won a grant to do research into  measuring the problems of low level innovativeness in Hungary in international context. She will be working on the subject with PhD students, young faculty members and business leaders.
