Dr. Beheruz N. Sethna
President Emeritus, Regents' Professor of Business, University of West Georgia, USADr. Beheruz N. Sethna has served in numerous leadership positions during his ~50-year career, including President of the University of West Georgia for 19 years, the longest-serving University President in the state at the time, interim Executive VP, and interim Executive Vice Chancellor. As President, he led transformative change in growth in enrollment, academic standards, facilities, land holdings, and endowment.
He is the first person from India ever to become President of a US University. Also, the first person of any ethnic minority to become president of a college or university in Georgia other than an HBCU. He is one of the “Great Immigrants – The Pride of America.” He is a Distinguished Alumnus of the prestigious IIT-Bombay and IIM-Ahmedabad. He has two graduate degrees from Columbia and has participated in two post-doctoral programs at Harvard. He has presented in numerous prestigious forums and has a TEDx Talk, “An American Star.”
